Patients are assessed and will be seen in the most appropriate clinic; we aim to see patients within two weeks.

  • Infection advice for health professionals

Medical practitioners can get telephone advice about clinical infection related issues during working hours Monday to Friday and will be directed through main switchboard (020 7188 7188) to the relevant team or consultant.

Queries specifically regarding infection control related issues should be directed to the Infection Prevention and Control Service.

Queries regarding outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT) service (PDF 108Kb) should contact the OPAT specialist nurse via main switchboard (020 7188 7188).

Outside working hours there is always a virology and medical microbiology specialist registrar and consultant on call at all hours available to give emergency advice. Individual consultants can be contacted via main switchboard or via the secretaries.
