Overview

Neuro-rehabilitation physiotherapy

We provide neuro-physiotherapy for people who have:

We also have specialist services for neurofibromatosis, HIV and idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH).

If you have a neurological difficulty affecting your arm or hand, you might be referred to the upper limb rehabiliation support group called reach out.

We support people to be as independent as possible by providing:

  • assessment by our specialist team
  • a neuro-rehabilitation plan designed for you
  • specialist neuro-rehabilitation treatment, 1-to-1 or in groups
  • referral to other services, if needed

We may invite you to take part in research studies while you're being treated with us.

Neuro-rehabilitation in the community

Our community team aims to support you after you've left hospital. We aim to help you recover and live well with your condition.

Part of our support includes physiotherapy to increase your confidence and ability to move around.

You can find out more on our community neuro-rehabilitation service page.

Research and clinical trials

Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.
