Trust recognised as a Gold standard employer
Thursday 28 January 2016
The Investors in People standard is used across the country to measure the way that organisations lead, manage and develop staff. After its most recent assessment, Guy’s and St Thomas’ was awarded the Gold standard on 27 January.
Of the 12,000 organisations that achieve the Investors in People standard, only 7% hold the Gold standard.
The report from Investors in People commends Guy’s and St Thomas’ for its commitment to staff, saying: ‘Most evident from the review is the continued positivity of staff in terms of working for the Trust, which continues to be seen as a really good and caring employer to work for.’
More than 350 people from across Guy’s and St Thomas’ were interviewed as part of the assessment to find out that they thought about working in the Trust.
Ann Macintyre, Director of Workforce and Organisational Development, says: “We are very proud to have retained the Gold Investors in People standard – it is a real credit to staff across the Trust."
Guy’s and St Thomas’ has held the Investors in People standard since 2002, and first achieved the Gold standard in 2012.
