Trust scoops national sustainability awards

Guy’s and St Thomas’ picked up multiple accolades at the NHS Sustainability Awards 2018.

The waste and sustainability team were recognised for staff engagement, waste management and procurement and scooped the overall winner award at the annual event.

The NHS Sustainability Awards celebrate healthcare efficiency and sustainable development.

Scott Buckler, NHS Sustainability Day Campaign Manager, says: “The awards are now in their fifth year and I am continually impressed and surprised at how much leadership exists within the NHS. All our nominees, highly commended and winners have proven that sustainability is a key driver in ensuring we have an NHS fit for the future.”

The Awards are part of the NHS Sustainability Day Campaign and national day of action held each year.
