Antonio D’Alessio
Consultant medical oncologist
Biography
Antonio D’Alessio is a consultant medical oncologist. He specialises in treating hepatobiliary cancers, with a focus on a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma.
He trained as a medical oncologist in Italy and the UK. He completed a PhD at Imperial College London, where his research looked at how people with liver cancer respond to immunotherapy.
Antonio is involved in research and clinical trials and has published in a number of peer-reviewd journals.
His work has been recognised and has received awards from leading research organisations, including Cancer Research UK, the European Society for the Study of the Liver (EASL), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
