Elaine Agius

Consultant dermatologist

Biography

Elaine Agius trained in dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and has been a GMC-certified specialist dermatologist since 2012. She was awarded a PhD for her research in the immunology of ageing skin by University College London in 2010.

Elaine specialises in adult medical dermatology and consults in the general adult dermatology, inpatient medical dermatology and the severe eczema and psoriasis services. She is also an investigator for phase 2 to 4 clinical trials in atopic eczema, psoriasis and related conditions. She holds the position of honorary senior lecturer at King's College London.

PhD, University College London in 2010.

Awards

Elaine is the recipient of 7 national and international awards for her research into the immunology of ageing skin including the prestigious Albert Kligman award and the British Society of Investigative Dermatology award in 2009.

Publications

Her research work was published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Investigation both very high impact journals and she has presented her research papers to various national and international dermatological meetings.
