Emma Beddowes
Medical oncologist in breast cancer
Biography
Emma Beddowes is a consultant medical oncologist specialising in breast cancer at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She is also the East of England clinical lead for breast cancer.
Emma's interests include:
- translational research
- circulating tumour DNA
- biomarker-driven treatments
- clinical trials
Emma has held leadership roles in the development of regional breast cancer guidelines. She is currently involved in projects to improve access to care and patient resources, helping to enhance quality of life for people affected by breast cancer.
Research interests
- Liquid biopsies and the role of epigenetics in treatment response.
