Jon Van Der Walt
Consultant histopathologist
Biography
Jon van der Walt has been a consultant in the NHS for 29 years – first at The Royal London Hospital and then for 19 years at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
Over the years he has moved from being a generalist to specialising in haematopathology with additional practices in endocrine, bone and soft tissue pathology and conducting autopsies for HM Coroner.
Jon is the faculty lead for histopathology and an educational supervisor and is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at King’s College London.
He has contributed to numerous international meetings on bone marrow pathology and is currently the Chair of the European Bone Marrow Working Group.
