Biography

Jonathan Noël was appointed as a consultant in 2022. He has a special interest in robotic assisted prostate surgery. Jonathan is double robotic surgery fellowship trained, firstly from the Royal College of Surgeons of England accredited Lister Hospital. Afterwards, he was selected for the competitive Global Robotics Institute Fellowship in Florida, USA. Jonathan is the only UK surgeon to receive formalised mentorship from Professor Vipul Patel.

Jonathan co-introduced aquablation robotic surgery for benign prostate enlargement at Guy's and St Thomas'. He has an interest in ‘en-bloc’ holmium laser prostatectomy (HoLEP), and leads the prostate diagnostic service at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

Jonathan maintains a close association with the university he graduated from, the University of the West Indies, by mentoring graduates in the UK and regularly attending workshops and conferences in the Caribbean.
