Katie Lancaster
Consultant plastic surgeon
Biography
Katie Lancaster is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
Katie specialises in colorectal, complex abdominal wall, gynaecological and breast reconstruction. She is an extended member of the colorectal cancer teams at St Thomas' Hospital and University College Hospitals. She works with her dermatology colleagues at the St John's Institute of Dermatology and provides surgical management of hidradenitis suppurativa.
Katie has a particular interest in training and education. She is a tutor on a number of local and national courses and is a clinical and educational supervisor for trainees at St Thomas' Hospital.
Education and training
Katie graduated from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, Imperial College London in 1997.
After completing her general surgical training in London and the south east she was appointed to the Pan Thames Regional Specialist Training Programme in plastic surgery. During this time she gained full training in general plastic surgery and undertook fellowships in aesthetic surgery at The London Clinic and microsurgery at St Thomas' Hospital.
Katie became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast) in 2009.
