Mustafa Kadam

Consultant physician in acute, general and stroke medicine

Biography

Mustafa Kadam has been a consultant in acute, general and stroke medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 2021.

His current practice spans through managing patients on the same day emergency care (SDEC) unit, the acute unselected medical take and reviewing patients on the acute admissions ward. He also carries out hyper-acute stroke unit (HASU) on-calls at the Princess Royal University Hospital site of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He holds a weekly transient ischaemic attack and neurovascular clinic at St Thomas’ Hospital.

Mustafa also carries out medico-legal expert witness work.

In addition to his clinical work, his other roles include:

  • medical information officer for the Epic implementation at the Trust
  • regional adviser for the Royal College of Physicians (south London)
  • new consultant representative for the Joint Specialty Committee (JSC) for acute medicine at the RCP
  • member of the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) for acute medicine
