Shahbaz Roshan-Zamir
Consultant physician and geriatrician
Biography
Shahbaz Roshan-Zamir has been a consultant physician and geriatrician in the ageing and health department at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since 2017. He has broad experience and training in geriatric and general medicine. He has a special interest in cardiovascular diseases, and in particular heart failure and valve disease in the elderly.
Shahbaz has helped develop the cardiology for older persons service (COPS) at Guy's and St Thomas'.
He also:
- is the trust lead for the Syncope service
- provides care for inpatients
- runs weekly outpatient clinics for heart failure, COPS, Syncope and comprehensive geriatric assessments
He is the current Chair of the cardiovascular section of the British Geriatrics Society. He organises and chairs national meetings related to cardiovascular diseases in the older population.
