Biography

Wisam Alwan is a consultant dermatologist at the St John's Institute of Dermatology based at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. He is the clinical lead for children's dermatology.
 
He is currently completing his PhD at King's College London focusing on the role of the skin microbiome in psoriasis, funded by the Medical Research Council, British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and British Skin Foundation.

Wisam has a keen interest in medical education and is also an educational supervisor.
