Getting to appointments at Guy’s Hospital

We’re having issues with some of the lifts in Tower Wing at Guy’s Hospital.

If your appointment is in Tower Wing, please allow an extra 15 minutes to get there, as you may need to queue for a lift.

For telephone appointments, we'll phone you as close to your appointment time as possible. Please try to be free for 30 minutes before and after your appointment time. Please make sure that you are somewhere quiet and private, and that you have a good signal if using a mobile phone.

Please bring:

  • a list of medication you take
  • any home blood pressure readings

We may ask you to have blood and urine tests before your telephone appointment.

You can have blood and urine tests at:

  • Tunbridge Wells Kidney Treatment Centre, Abbey Court, 7-15 St John’s Rd
    Tunbridge Wells, TN4 9TF
  • Sidcup Kidney Treatment Centre, Queen Mary’s Hospital, Frognal Avenue, Sidcup DA14 6LT

You can also have blood and urine tests without an appointment at:

During your appointment

You'll see a consultant, junior doctor or specialist nurse.

If you see a junior doctor or nurse, they'll be supervised by a consultant who'll also see your results.

We'll ask you to have to have blood and urine tests before or after your face-to-face appointment.

After your appointment

We'll write to your GP and any other health professionals involved in your care about the consultation. If you need a follow-up appointment, we'll arrange these later, once clinic dates are confirmed.
