Audiology (hearing) services

Learning disability community health team

Who can use the service

We support people with a learning disability to manage their hearing and balance difficulties.

We do this when our mainstream audiology services cannot meet your needs, even when reasonable adjustments are made.

We provide home visits for:

  • hearing screening and review
  • hearing tests
  • training on how to use and maintain hearing aids
  • support to access our mainstream audiology services

How to get an appointment

We see people living in Lewisham and Southwark and registered with a GP in these boroughs.

You can:

  • self-refer to the audiology service, or
  • ask someone to refer you

Changing or cancelling your appointment

During your appointment

When we arrange the appointment with you, we will discuss what you can expect and what you may need.

After your appointment

We will arrange any follow up appointments if you need any.
