This clinic is for patients who have had their appliance fitted at Guy's dental hospital.
How to get an emergency clinic appointment
To book an emergency appointment, please call 07827 956 460 from 9am to 5pm.
We'll assess you over the phone to see if you need an emergency appointment. If you do, we'll arrange an appointment for you in 1 to 2 days. The emergency clinics run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.
If you walk in without a pre-booked appointment we won't be able to see you. We'll ask you to come back another day when you have an appointment.
During your emergency clinic appointment
When you arrive, please go to the reception desk to check in.
We aim to see you as soon as possible. In most cases we see people in the order they arrive. Sometimes we need to prioritise urgent cases. Please ask a member of staff how long your may have to wait.
During your visit we'll examine your orthodontic braces and mouth. We may ask you to have X-rays and other tests.
We'll aim to make your brace comfortable and safe until your next routine orthodontic appointment. We will not be able to do the routine adjustments as the appointment is for emergency care only.
We'll answer your questions and give guidance on any further treatment you might need.We'll book any follow-up appointments you may need.
