Overview
Brain cancer
Our joint brain cancer (neuro oncology) service with King's College Hospital is one of the largest in Europe.
We treat tumours of the brain and spine. We see patients from all over the United Kingdom and from around the world. We are a Tessa Jowell Centre of Excellence.
Our clinics bring together different specialists in state-of-the-art facilities. This allows us to give our patients the best care and treatment.
We work together with your GP and community services to make sure we meet your needs.
We can refer you for:
- fertility support at our assisted conception unit
- welfare and benefits advice
- wigs
- pain relief
- palliative care to improve your quality of life in hospital and at home
- Dimbleby Cancer Care counselling and support
- other support depending on your needs
Health information
We're committed to providing you with personalised cancer care. You can read more about what this means on our cancer care and support page.
There are national charities providing information and support:

The government website provides advice about driving with your health condition.
Wards
You may need to stay in hospital on one of our wards during your treatment.
You may also stay on a ward at King's College Hospital.
Our consultants
You may also meet consultants from King's College Hospital.
Research and clinical trials
Research is vital to improving the care that you receive when you're unwell. You can help improve healthcare by taking part in research studies at our Trust. During your appointment, ask your healthcare professional about research. They'll be happy to tell you about research studies you could be eligible to join.
We are involved in research, clinical trials and the development of new therapies.
We may ask if you want to take part in one of our clinical trials or research projects. If you do not wish to, this will not affect your treatment.
