Pelvic health physiotherapy
We assess and treat musculoskeletal pain associated with pregnancy. This includes:
- pelvic girdle pain
- low back pain with or without leg pain
- carpel tunnel syndrome
- De Quervain's (pain in the tendons of your wrist)
- hip or bottom pain
- rib and /or middle back pain
- diastasis rectus abdominis (separation of tummy muscles)
We offer walk-in appointments for people with pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain at the maternity assessment clinic and in the antenatal clinic. These are on a first come, first serve basis.
- Mondays, 8.30am to 10am, maternity assessment clinic
- Wednesdays, 2pm to 4pm, antenatal clinic
We also provide a pelvic floor physiotherapy service. We see people with pelvic floor dysfunction, such as bladder, bowel, vaginal and sexual problems.
Conditions we treat include:
- stress urinary incontinence
- urinary urgency and urgency urge incontinence
- mixed urinary incontinence
- overactive bladder
- voiding dysfunction
- pelvic organ prolapse
- pain during sex
- pelvic pain
- vaginal and/or vulval pain
- constipation
- bowel incontinence
- pelvic floor problems during pregnancy

Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy provides information about pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and low back pain during pregnancy and after having a baby.
