Referrals
Making a referral
We accept referrals from GPs and hospital specialists.
GP referrals
All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS). Referrals sent by email or post from NHS GPs will not be processed.
Please include all relevant results.
You can use advice and guidance on e-RS if you need advice about making a referral.
We've produced a referral guide to support GPs. You can access full and summary guides on the haematology resources page of the King's Health Partners website.
Non-GP and tertiary referrals
Referrals from other hospitals must include a completed inter-provider minimum data set. Make sure to send this within 48 hours of referring a patient.
Our local catchment area covers:
- Lambeth
- Lewisham
- Southwark
We also take referrals from other hospitals (tertiary referrals) in the UK and other countries.
You can send tertiary referrals by email or post.
You must address the referral to a named consultant.
2-week wait (2WW) referrals
We accept 2WW referrals from GPs using e-RS.
Emergency referrals
Please call 020 7188 7188 and ask the switchboard for the haematology registrar. They will be able to advise on emergency and urgent referrals.
