As a world famous teaching hospital, we train the doctors, nurses and health professionals of the future.
Medical school
GKT School of Medical Education is the medical school of Guy's and St Thomas', King's College London and King's College Hospital. We work together to provide under and post graduate education across multiple professions.
Dental school
Together with King's College London and King's College Hospital, we are part of King's College London Dental Institute, the largest dental teaching hospital in Europe and a world leader in many areas of dental research.
One fifth of all UK-educated dentists train with us.
Nursing and midwifery
Florence Nightingale set up her first nursing school at St Thomas' Hospital in 1860, establishing Guy's and St Thomas' as the home of modern nursing.
Today, we provide high quality clinical placements for 600 children's and adult nursing and midwifery students from King's College London and London Southbank University.
The course is designed so that half of the time training to be a nurse or midwife is spent in clinical placements. Because of the size and nature of our hospitals and community sites, students can experience a wide range of specialist areas.
We also provide nursing associate apprenticeships with Coventry University and London Southbank University and offer direct entry courses with Coventry University.
Education and training
Excellence in education and training is at the heart of Guy's and St Thomas'.
