Haemostasis and thrombosis centre
We are a specialist centre for diagnosing and treating patients with bleeding disorders and blood clots (thrombosis). We also manage anticoagulation care for people in south London.
We treat people from the UK and internationally.
We're part of the south London adult and children's haemophilia network, along with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Within our centre, we offer a full service for people with the following conditions:
- blood clots including DVT (deep vein thrombosis), pulmonary embolism (PE) and in other parts of the body
- antiphospholipid syndrome and inherited thrombophilia such as antithrombin, protein C and protein S deficiency
- blood clot management and prevention during pregnancy
- diagnosis and management of haemophilia and bleeding disorders
- assessment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and post-thrombotic syndrome
- initiation and follow-up of anticoagulation including warfarin and direct oral anticoagulants for conditions including thrombosis, mechanical heart valves and atrial fibrillation
