We are a specialist centre for diagnosing and treating people with blood clots (thrombosis). We also manage anticoagulation care for people in the south London area.

We are able to provide care for people who are local to the hospital as well as nationally.

• deep vein thrombosis in pregnancy
• pulmonary embolism
• phlebitis (superficial thrombophlebitis)
• cavernous sinus thrombosis
• antiphospholipid syndrome (APS)

Anticoagulation

We use the following oral anticoagulants:

• direct oral anticoagulants
• warfarin, medicine to help prevent blood clots

As well as treating and preventing blood clots, we use anticoagulation for the following conditions:

• atrial fibrillation
• heart valve conditions
