Specialist palliative care outpatient clinic

We accept referrals from hospital doctors, specialist nurses and GPs. 

Please note clinic support will not involve community or out of hours support for patients. Please refer to the patient's local community palliative care team if you feel they would benefit from that type of support.

Our outpatient clinic is only for people well enough to attend outpatients at Guy's Hospital regularly. The typical wait from referral to getting an appointment is 6 weeks.

If you consider your referral to be urgent, call 020 7188 4754, Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm. If outside of those hours, call 020 7188 7188 and ask to speak to the on-call palliative care CNS or the Pal@home team.

Pal@home

The pal@home service will review patients already known to our community palliative care service overnight.

Patients who are already known to the palliative care team can self-refer by calling the switchboard on 020 7188 2255 from 8pm to 8am.
